Diablo 4's PC specs remained shrouded in mystery for a good while, as developer Blizzard Entertainment worked on making sure very piece falls into its place. But, with its open beta approaching, we now have a first look at the game's system requirements.
Diablo 4 System Requirements
An Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470 is, actually, recommended for Diablo IV's open beta, which also accommodates older CPUs.
We definitely won't have to spend much on an upgrade to hop in and play during its March testing phase, and you can check out the full Diablo IV system requirements below, as detailed by Blizzard in the open beta blog.

- Settings: 1080p native resolution / 720p render resolution, low graphics settings, 30 fps.
- Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
- Internet: Broadband Connection

- Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD R3-1300X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
- Internet: Broadband Connection
It is worth keeping in mind that Diablo IV's PC specs can change in the lead-up to its full release.
With a bit of luck, the game's cross-gen nature should still translate to more lenient system requirements, but we'll ultimately have to wait and see how the final list looks and what that means for our hardware.
The title boasts some visibile graphical improvements that allow for greater detail when presenting its violent dark world. Hopefully, partaking in that visual feast won't be locked behind the latest generation of video cards.
