Diablo 4 is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated games of 2023 and promises to take the legendary ARPG series to new heights. As barriers between gaming platforms are slowly breaking down, the question of crossplay availability at launch is on the minds of many gamers.
The benefits of Diablo 4 supporting crossplay are immediately apparent. With a release that covers both current and last-gen consoles, allowing players to play together regardless of their platform would undoubtedly enhance the overall gaming experience.
Diablo 4 Crossplay Support
Developer Blizzard didn't initially announce anything regarding Diablo 4 crossplay, but members of the team behind the game expressed their interest in having the feature ready for launch.
Things changed in June 2022, when it was revealed that Diablo 4 cross-platform support would be available at launch across all versions of the game.

In addition, cross-progression is also confirmed, meaning that you won't lose characters, loot, and progress if you end up switching platforms at some point during your playthrough.
Since the game's launch, the development team has delved into various aspects of the game, such as its open-world features, including the ability to customize horses, as well as the distinct art direction that sets it apart from Diablo 3's vibrant color scheme.
