Mount and Blade II Bannerlord Support for the Vortex Mod Manager
Vortex is a useful tool for installing and managing Mount and Blade II Bannerlord mods. Initially, Bannerlord support was granted through an extension. As of version 1.2, that extension is part of the manager itself and does not require a separate download. The tool also supports more than 65 other titles, including popular ones like Skyrim and The Witcher. You'll find it on Nexus Mods.
Enhanced Battle Test Mod
The Enhanced Battle Test Mod lets you test out battles locally using a variety of unit configurations. The mod supports up to three troop types for each team involved alongside a variety of maps including sergeant, skirmish, and tdm maps. You can download it from Nexus Mods.
Screamerlord - Command Soldiers with Your Voice Mod
The Screamerlord - Command soldiers with your voice Mod targets those players who want a cleaner HUD while retaining the ability to tell their troops where to go and what to do. While not a mod in the traditional sense, the files within are actually two custom profiles for the VoiceAttack software that enables voice-activated control in various apps and games. Find it on Nexus Mods.
PureVision Reshade Mod
The PureVision Reshade Mod brings a number of visual enhancements to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, resulting in more vibrant colours throughout the entirety of Calradia, as well as better antialiasing, ambient occlusion, global illumination and more. Get it from Nexus Mods.
Bannerlord Tweaks Mod
The Bannerlord Tweaks mod introduces a highly configurable and sizeable set of changes that overall improve the time you spend in Calradia. Whether it's raising your character's stamina cap, increasing the renown gained from emerging victorious in tournaments or giving you more options to customize difficulty, the mod is bound to have something for everyone. The original mod is no longer being updated but a different modder has picked up the slack, also on Nexus Mods. A third alternative can be found here.
Detailed Character Creation
The Detailed Character Creation mod expands the base game's character customization with additional options that let you define a character or NPC's weight, age, muscle and other options. With access to full body sliders, you can more freely shape your character and make it stand out among the rest. Find it on Nexus Mods.
The Woods of Battania - Battanian Troop Overhaul Mod
The Battanian Troop Overhaul Mod introduces new upgrade paths for Battanian Volunteers which offer more ranged options. At the same time, non-ranged units have received slight nerfs in terms of effectiveness and armor to balance things out. Get it from Nexus Mods.
LootLord Mod
What's better than executing a lord you've long wanted dead? Getting their (sometimes expensive) gear for yourself. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord doesn't let you do that by default and that's where the LootLord Mod steps in. Installing it makes all the gear of lords you execute automatically transfer into your character's inventory, which is one small step towards improving immersion. The mod actually lets you pick whether you want gear to always transfer or you'd rather add an element of RNG and only have an enemy lord's gear be added to your inventory 50% of the time. Get it on Nexus Mods.
Bandit Militias
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's Bandit Militias mod makes Calradia even more dangerous, as packs of bandits unite under heroes, raiding, pillaging, and becoming stronger. Large packs can split, creating a dynamic threat on the map. Find it on Nexus Mods.
Dismemberment Mod
Landing a killing blow is one of the most satisfying things in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and the Dismemberment mod adds a feature that many players wish would be part of the main game. The mod makes it possible to chop off the heads of your opponents when dealing fatal cut damage with a left or right swing of your weapon. Currently, dismemberment only applies to heads, however, you can customize the chance of it occurring as well as whether or not it should be accompanied by slow motion. The original mod is no longer being updated, but DismembermentPlus builds on its foundations, continuing the work.
Carladia at War (Custom Spawns) Mod
In between packs of villagers, bandits, caravans and roaming armies, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's map is usually rife with activity. The Calradia at War mod further adds to that by introducing a whopping 21 new minor factions, each with its own heroes, alongside 27 new spawns and 29 new troops. Installing the mod will also see new bandits roaming across Calradia. Grab it from Nexus Mods.
True Relations Mod
The True Relations Mod makes it so that you gain reputation more organically while also rewarding you with skills and traits during battles, tournaments and events. Killing brigands will make the nearby lord like you more, followers express their dislike when you perform acts that they don't agree with, and war can lead to the creation of friendships or rivalries. Win a tournament in a city and the locals will treat you more like the champion that you are. Download it from Nexus Mods.
True Noble Opinion Mod
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord's True Noble Opinion Mod adds extra realism by separating the opinions of a clan's members from that of their leader. A straightforward addition that makes Calradia's characters feel more like proper humans. Find it on Nexus Mods.
Realistic Battle Mod
Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord's Realistic Battle Mod introduces several notable changes to battle that should bring them closer to the real-life counterparts. Weapons attack faster and offer different results against armor, depending on their type. The AI will defend itself more, especially if it uses shields, while hitboxes have been reworked to reflect the actual areas covered by armor parts. Check it out on Nexus Mods.
Improved Garrisons
Garrison management can be a bit of a hassle when you're also dealing with countless other things and Bannerlord's Improved Garrisons mod aims to lend you a helping hand. Troops from nearby villages are automatically recruited to garrisons and prisoners also join them over time. Garrisons get extra food and you can also establish guard parties that defend your holdings and destroy nearby bandit hideouts. In case you're after an additional challenge, the mod comes with an option to also enable its features for the AI. Grab it from Nexus Mods.
Banner Kings
Banner Kings improves gameplay outside of combat by deepening settlement and kingdom management. Among its features count a population system with 4 social classes who fulfill different roles, new policies that give you greater control over your settlements, but also traveling nobles, craftsmen, serfs, and slaves. It also implements feudal titles and succession laws, while giving each lord a council, and much more. Find it on Nexus Mods.
