Driver: San Francisco demo added to US PlayStation Store
The weekly US PlayStation Store update is here and Ubisoft want the spotlight for their Driver: San Francisco demo, plus Far Cry 2 is now downloadable. Madden NFL 12 also gets a demo. Freddy Kreuger joins the Mortal Kombat line-up as DLC, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon gets two weapon packs.
Far Cry 3 "ten times" the size of Far Cry 2
If you thought Far Cry 2's overland map was huge, look out - Ubisoft states that Far Cry 3 will be ten times larger. To give you an idea of how massive that will be, Far Cry 2 was twice as large as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and half the size of World of Warcraft.
Far Cry 2 dev blasts L.A. Noire, it has "nothing original to say"
Creative director Clint Hocking of Ubisoft's Far Cry 2 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is less than impressed with Team Bondi and Rockstar Games' L.A. Noire. He dismisses the crime thriller as "derivative, uninspired, narcissistic" through his twitter account. He says it proves videogames can only be 'kitsch art'.
Far Cry 3 development still going, CVs are loud amid silence
Ubisoft has been super quiet when it comes to Far Cry 3, with news that it was put on the back burner in August 2008, but August 2010 brought it back? Online CVs for devs at Ubisoft in Quebec make reference to an "unannounced shooter sequel" and a "first person shooter” with "exotic gameplay".
Rumour: Far Cry 3 "could be arriving" this year says magazine
The latest issue of OPM has Ubisoft's Far Cry 3, a game yet to be announced, as possibly releasing "before the end of the year." It was 'expected' in 2010. At least that's what two retailer listings had said before getting pulled. Development was in "full swing" as of last August said PC Gamer. An E3 reveal?
