Diablo 3's Season 29 start and end dates are rather hard to pin down prior to an official announcement from Blizzard. The game's seasons vary in length quite a bit – ranging between 70 and 136 days – and usually have a two-week break between them, outside of special circumstances.
Diablo 3 Season 29 Release Date
Diablo III's Season 29 is in a bit of a special situation when compared to its peers, since a potential release date would likely fall near the launch of Diablo IV or after it.
While the two games likely have different teams working on them, it's possible that Blizzard might decide to end post-launch support for the third game in the series with Season 28 and focus on the newer release instead, although no official announcement was made in that regard so far.
Diablo III Seasons usually kick off on Fridays, ending on Sundays. In the past, there have been exceptions to this rule, while Season 23 and 22 ran for a total of 128 and 110 days, respectively, making them some of the longest in the game's history.
Expected start date
- Diablo 3 Season 29 start date: Between May and July 2023 (GameWatcher estimation)
- Diablo 3 Season 29 end date: Between August and October 2023 (GameWatcher estimation)
Assuming that post-launch support continues and based on some of the past seasons' length, we currently esimate that Season 29 could start at some point between May and July 2023. It would conclude somewhere between August and October 2023.
As with its predecessors, we'll have to wait for an official announcement from Blizzard before we can know for sure. Either way, Diablo fans won't find themselves without something to do over summer.
